ME & JULIA CHILD (design for industry), 2022
As a cooking enthusiast influenced by Julia Child, her story about writing the legendary cooking book Mastering the Art of French Cooking touched me with her unique personal character, which is gentle and firm. During the process of this project, there was an immersive connection between this romantic woman and me; it made me flashback to the late 20th century and continue imagining what happened at that miracle time.
I was inspired by the pink stuff I collected for my kitchen, combining the classical Frankfurt kitchen style. The final printings use a dynamic colour palette and rough sketch quality to emphasize the retro aesthetics.
